Amor de John Lennon pelas Bermudas será comemorado com CD e Concerto em tributo, em junho /John Lennon's love for Bermuda to be celebrated with CD, tribute concert in June

Em seus últimos anos, John Lennon tornou-se muito ligado a Bermuda. Lennon viajou para a ilha em 1980 e escreveu algumas de suas últimas canções, incluindo "Woman" e "Watching the Wheels", lá.

A ilha tem vários eventos planejados em 21 de junho para comemorar o tempo de Lennon lá, de acordo com Tony Brannon, que está coordenando os eventos.

O destaque é o lançamento de um CD tributo com canções tanto dos Beatles quanto de Lennon.Entre os artistas que aparecem são Maxi Priest, Bailey Outerbridge (que contribui com a sua versão de "Revolution"), Paul Carrack, Nils Lofgren, Heather Nova, RebeccaFaulkenberry e Nic Christopher, Judie Tzuke, Chewstick, Express Rhino (Status Quo), Mia Chambray, Rachel Brown e Biggie Irie.

O CD está sendo produzido pelo grupo de caridade Ride the Wave. Brannon disse ao Beatles Examiner que Yoko Ono  permitiu que a sua canção "Walking on Thin Ice" fosse usada em um remix.

In his later years, John Lennon became very fond of Bermuda. Lennon traveled to the island in 1980 and wrote some of his last songs, including "Woman" and "Watching the Wheels," there. 

The island nation has several events planned June 21 to commemorate Lennon's time there, according to Tony Brannon, who is coordinating the events. 

The highlight is the release of a tribute CD featuring both Beatles and Lennon songs. Among the artists to appear are Maxi Priest, Bailey Outerbridge (who contributes her version of "Revolution"), Paul Carrack, Nils Lofgren, Heather Nova, Rebecca Faulkenberry and Nic Christopher, Judie Tzuke, Chewstick, Rhino’s Express (Status Quo), Mia Chambray, Rachel Brown and Biggie Irie.

The CD is being produced by Ride the Wave charitable group. Brannon told Beatles Examiner that Yoko Ono has allowed her song "Walking on Thin Ice" to be used in a
