Paul McCartney confirmou que fará um show em Florianópolis (Leia mais em De Novo). A apresentação acontecerá na Ressacada, estádio do Avaí, em 25 de abril, dois dias depois dos shows em Recife.

Os ingressos no Nordeste serão mais baratos que os do Sul. O bilhete mais caro em Pernambuco custará 600 reais, enquanto em Santa Catarina sairá por 800 reais. Serão postos à venda 130 000 ingressos para os dois dias em Recife e 30 000 para o show de Florianópolis.

Paul McCartney has confirmed the show in Florianopolis (Read more in DeNovo). The presentation will take place in Ressacada, Avaí Stadium on April 25, two days after the shows in Recife.

Tickets in the Northeast will be cheaper than the South. The most expensive ticket will cost 600 reais in Pernambuco, while in Santa Catarina will cost 800 reais. Will be offered for sale 130 000 tickets for two days in Recife and 30 000 for the show in Florianopolis.

Beatles anunciam a chegada da reedição do DVD em Blu-ray 'Yellow Submarine' /Beatles announce new 'Yellow Submarine' DVD coming to Blu-ray in new reissue

Como foi anunciado exclusivamente  na segunda-feira, The Beatles "Yellow Submarine" DVD será finalmente reeditado depois de estar fora de catálogo por muito tempo, foi anunciado terça-feira. A clássica animação dos Beatles de 1968 foi restaurado digitalmente para lançamento em DVD e Blu-ray e será relançado dia 29 de maio na América do Norte e 28 de maio no resto do mundo. 

O álbum do filme também será relançado em CD na mesma data.

O filme foi restaurado em resolução digital 4K pela primeira vez por Paul Jr. Rutan e uma equipe do Serviço de Triagem Cinematográficas Inc. E que EMI diz que devido à natureza delicada da obra de arte  originalmente desenhada à mão, a restauração foi feita à mão, quadro a quadro e que nenhum software automatizado foi usado.

O bônus do  DVD e Blu-ray do Yellow Submarine incluem um making-of, um curto documentário intitulado "Odyssey Mod", que circulou no DVD agora fora de catálogo-1999, trailer original do filme, comentários em áudio do produtor John Coates e do diretor de arte Heinz Edelmann, vários clipes de breves entrevistas com outras pessoas envolvidas no filme, as sequências do storyboard, 29 desenhos originais a lápis e 30 fotos dos bastidores.

Ambos os pacotes Digipak irão incluir reproduções de celulas de animação do filme, adesivos colecionáveis, e um livreto de 16 páginas com um novo ensaio do aficcionado pelo Yellow Submarine John Lasseter, diretor criativo chefe da Walt Disney e Pixar Animation Studios. O filme estreou em 1968 e foi o destaque pop-arte em seu dia.

"Eu pensei desde o início que o filme seria uma série de curtas interconectados", lembra o diretor de arte e produtor Heinz Edelmann. "O estilo deve variar a cada cinco minutos ou mais para manter o interesse até o fim." Estes estilos incluídos misturando fotografia live-action com animação, seqüências 3-D  e "rotoscopia" caleidoscópica onde o filme é traçado quadro a quadro nos desenhos. Todo o processo levou quase dois anos, 14 roteiros diferentes, 40 animadores e 140 artistas técnicos, em última análise, a produção de um triunfo pioneiro de animação.

As  was announced exclusively Monday, The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" DVD is finally being reissued after being out of print for far too long, it was announced Tuesday. The Beatles’ classic 1968 animated feature film has been digitally restored for DVD and Blu-ray release and will be reissued May 29 in North America and May 28 in the rest of the world. The film’s songtrack album will also be reissued on CD on that date.

The film has been restored in 4K digital resolution for the first time by Paul Rutan Jr. and a team at Triage Motion Picture Services and Eque Inc. EMI says that due to the delicate nature of the hand-drawn original artwork, the restoration was all done by hand, frame-by-frame and that no automated software was used.

Bonus features for the Yellow Submarine DVD and Blu-ray include a short making-of documentary titled “Mod Odyssey,” which was circulated on the now out-of-print 1999 DVD, the film’s original theatrical trailer, audio commentary by producer John Coates and art director Heinz Edelmann, several brief interview clips with others involved with the film, storyboard sequences, 29 original pencil drawings and 30 behind-the-scenes photos.

Both Digipak packages will include reproductions of animation cels from the film, collectible stickers, and a 16-page booklet with a new essay by Yellow Submarine aficionado John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney and Pixar Animation studios. Candlewick Press will also release a new hardcover edition of the Yellow Submarine picture book on April 24. An interactive digital version of the book is also available as a free download on Apple's iBookstore for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch at www.iTunes.com/TheBeatles .

In his essay, Lasseter wrote, “As a fan of animation and as a filmmaker, I tip my hat to the artists of Yellow Submarine, whose revolutionary work helped pave the way for the fantastically diverse world of animation that we all enjoy today.”

"Yellow Submarine" began its voyage to the screen when Brodax, who had previously produced nearly 40 episodes of ABC’s animated Beatles TV series, approached The Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein with a unique vision for a full-length animated feature.

The film debuted in 1968 and was a pop-art standout in its day.

“I thought from the very beginning that the film should be a series of interconnected shorts” remembers art director and producer Heinz Edelmann. “The style should vary every five minutes or so to keep the interest going until the end.” These styles included melding live-action photography with animation, 3-dimensional sequences and kaleidoscopic “rotoscoping” where film is traced frame by frame into drawings. The entire process took nearly two years, 14 different scripts, 40 animators and 140 technical artists, ultimately producing a groundbreaking triumph of animation.

Uma coleção de itens de infância e carreira musical de George Harrison estão em exposição no Museu Grammy em Los Angeles.

A vice-diretora do museu, Rita George, disse que a viúva de Harrison, Olivia, supriu com a coleção de sua casa em Henley-on-Thames. Isto inclui alguns objetos que nunca foram vistos em público antes.

A collection of items from George Harrison's childhood and music career are on show at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

The museum's deputy director, Rita George, said Harrison's widow, Olivia, provided the museum with the collection from their home in Henley-on-Thames. It includes some objects that have never been seen in public before.

Hoje fazem parte 3 funcionários, amanhã (16/03) esse quantitativo aumenta para 12 e com eles, começarão a chegar os equipamentos.

Apesar de ainda não confirmar local, nem data, a equipe do Paul McCartney disse em email, agora há pouco, que esta ansiosa pelo fechamento das datas no Brasil e encerrou o email com um "see you soon" (nos vemos breve).

Com isso confirma o que ja falamos antes - ele vem, mas nao tem ainda nada fechado, tudo esta no campo das negociações e breve devemos ter novidades, que serão divulgadas aqui.

Aproveito para explicar aos que não conseguem entender que - não sou contra a vinda dele para cá, ao contrario, sou contra a fomentação de ilusão nas pessoas,  e as pessoas que querem aparecer em cima disso, apenas isso.

O casal está abrigado no parque infantil dos ricos e famosos esta semana, refrescando a cabeça  na estação quente e ensolarada.

Um dia antes de sua viagem para a praia eles foram vistos passeando de mãos dadas pela cidade.

Esta é a segunda viagem do casal, em semanas, depois que Paul visitou Paris para apoiar sua filha Stella em seu show no Fashion Week.

Talvez eles estivessem precisando de mais um tempo após o trauma do atraso no Eurostar, o que significou um esforço na sua jornada para casa ao longo de um período de 11 horas.

Mas o estresse parece quase esquecido, enquanto o casal relaxou e se descontraiu com  atividades como natação, passeios e jantares fora no exclusivo refúgio Caribenho.

Sir Paul recentemente lamentou a atenção que muitas vezes  recebe do público, que usam seus celulares para tirar fotos dele. Ele disse: "Às vezes eu quero ter uma noite tranquila com minha esposa em um restaurante a cada poucos segundos, sem ter que posar para uma fotografia de celular.

McCartney affectionately took his wife's hand and gazed at her wedding band while they took a swim in the sea.

The Beatles star was in a playful mood, entertaining Nancy with his antics in the azure ocean. She was pictured in fits of laughter as her rocker husband threw himself into the waves like a big kid.

They even got in some exercise, doing laps of the shoreline side by side.

The striking brunette, 51, cut a svelte figure in slim-fit rash vest and her floral bikini bottoms.

Sir Paul didn't look too bad either, showcasing a flat stomach in his bright blue patterned shorts.

The couple have been ensconced in the playground of the rich and famous this week, getting a head start on the warm and sunny season.

The day before their trip to the beach they were spotted strolling hand in hand through the town.

This is the couple's second trip in as many weeks after they visited Paris to show support for Paul's daughter Stella at her Fashion Week show.

Perhaps they were in need of another break following the trauma of their Eurostar delay, which meant their journey home eked out over an 11 hour period.

But that stress appears all but forgotten as they relaxed couple indulge in laid-back activities such as swimming, strolling and dining out in the exclusive Caribbean getaway.

Sir Paul recently bemoaned the attention he often gets from members of the public, who use their mobile phones to take pictures of him.

He said: 'Sometimes I want to have a peaceful evening with my wife in a restaurant without every few seconds having to pose for a mobile phone photograph. 

'And increasingly people just don't seem to understand that. That sometimes causes unpleasant scenes.

'But I don't want to complain. People like these have given me an enormous amount of happiness. And for that I'm very grateful. I won't ever forget what I owe them all.'

Meanwhile, his daughter, 40, hasn't forgiven Piers Morgan for introducing him to Heather Mills.

The former couple were introduced by the talk show host at a charity event in 1999 and Stella is still unhappy about the union, which ended in a bitter and expensive divorce for her father in 2008.

Piers joked to the Daily Mirror: 'Whenever I see Stella, she prods me in the ribs and says "Dad is really grateful you cost him £50million... thanks for that!"

'I'm sure Stella's thrilled, too, because it's her inheritance.'

Era 1964 e para aqueles que viviam em São Francisco, foi um momento emocionante por muitas razões. Um deles foi a Convenção Nacional Republicana estava chegando à cidade em julho. A outra era que um grupo chamado Beatles, foi o lançamento de sua primeira turnê americana lá em agosto.

Uma nova exposição que acaba de abrir em São Francisco chamado "Arthur Tress: São Francisco de 1964," agora em exibição no Museu De Young , apresenta fotos daquele dia. As imagens retratam manifestações políticas e de direitos civis, os jovens fãs excitados com os Beatles e a vida cotidiana na cidade.

As fotos de Tress registram os rostos dos transeuntes, bem como participantes ativos. Suas ingênuas imagens capturam a moda distinta, expressões e linguagem corporal da época.

It was 1964 and for those living in San Francisco, it was an exciting time for many reasons. One was the Republican National Convention was coming to the city in July. The other was that a group called the Beatles was launching their first American tour there in August. 

A new exhibit that just opened in San Francisco called "Arthur Tress: San Francisco 1964," now on display at the De Young Museum, features photos of life in the day. The pictures depict political and civil rights demonstrations, young fans excited about the Beatles and just everyday life in the city. 

Tress' photos recorded the faces of bystanders as well as active participants. His candid images capture the distinctive fashions, expressions and body language of the era. 

The photos present a picture of everyday life in San Francisco.

O secretário de Turismo do Recife, André Campos, informou, há pouco, em seu Twitter, que estão confirmados dois shows do ex-Beatle Paul McCartney no Recife. Serão nos dias 21 e 22 de abril, no Arruda. André Campos soube dos shows por telefone, de alguém que participou de uma reunião com empresários, no Rio de Janeiro, nesta segunda (12). Os tais empresários desembarcam na Cidade, quarta-feira (14), à noite, e devem fazer algum anúncio oficial, com mais detalhes, na quinta-feira (15).

The Secretary of Tourism of Recife, Andre Campos, reported recently on his Twitter, which are confirmed two shows of Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney in Recife. It will be on 21 and 22 April, at the Arruda. Por um breve período em março deste ano, Abbey Road Studios está permitindo que o público visite o icônico Estudio dois onde os Beatles, Pink Floyd e outros artistas famosos gravaram. O livro monumental,  Recording The Beatles, que documenta todos os equipamentos utilizados pelos Beatles no estúdio de gravação, desempenhou um papel importante na abertura do estúdio para o público.

Para comemorar o 80 º aniversário da Abbey Road Studios, autores Brian Kehew e Kevin Ryan vão realizar apresentações dentro do estúdio ao lado de dois instrumentos mais famosos e equipamentos de gravação utilizados pelos Beatles e outros músicos famosos em Abbey Road. Arquivo de fotos raras, filmes e áudio irão ilustrar a história de 80 anos do estúdio traçar a sua progressão desde a música clássica ao rock e à evolução tecnológica.

 Recording The Beatles necessitou de anos de pesquisa nos arquivos de Abbey Road e entrevistas virtuais de praticamente todos engenheiros que trabalharam em Abbey Road em 1960.Segredos do 'processo de gravação' dos Beatles foram descobertos, incluindo o uso da técnica de gravação de metade da velocidade em algumas partes instrumentais de canções como' varispeed ', o processo de alterar um pouco a velocidade de reprodução de certos vocais  em suas canções. Embora   Recording The Beatles tenha sido lançado em 2006, ainda continua a vender após várias editoras.

Abbey Road Studios nunca foi oficialmente aberto ao público. Houve raras ocasiões em que foram permitidas a grupos turísticos especiais, como os fãs dos Beatles em excursão, ver a Estudio Dois, mas não há excursões oficiais. Talvez depois do sucesso das apresentações do 80 º aniversário, os executivos da Abbey Road vão perceber que a abertura do estúdio para o público regularmente, semelhante ao Estúdio B da RCA em Nashville ou Sun Studio, em Memphis, seria uma ótima idéia.

For a brief time this March, Abbey Road Studios is allowing the public to visit the iconic Studio Two where The Beatles, Pink Floyd and other acts have recorded. The monumental book, Recording The Beatles, which documents every piece of equipment The Beatles used in the recording studio, played a large part in opening the studio to the public.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Abbey Road Studios, authors Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan will conduct presentations inside Studio Two alongside famous instruments and recording equipment used by The Beatles and other famous musicians at Abbey Road. Rare archive photos, film and audio will illustrate the 80-year history of the studio tracing its progression from classical music to rock and the evolving technology.

Recording The Beatles required years of researching the Abbey Road archives and interviewing virtually every engineer that worked at Abbey Road in the 1960s. Secrets to The Beatles' recording process were uncovered including their use of the half-speed recording technique on certain instrumental parts of songs as well as 'varispeed', the process of slightly altering the playing speed of certain vocals in their songs. Although Recording the Beatles was released back in 2006, it still continues to sell out after several publishing runs. 

Abbey Road Studios has never officially been open to the public. There have been rare occasions where special tour groups like Beatle fans on the Magical History Tour have been allowed in to see Studio Two, but no official tours have ever been offered. Perhaps after the success of these 80th anniversary presentations, the Abbey Road executives will realize that opening the studio to the public on a regular basis, similar to RCA's Studio B in Nashville or Sun Studio in Memphis would be a great idea.

The Beatles - Strange Fruit: The Beatles' Apple Records

A Apple Records dos  Beatles não era o rótulo  apoiado por artistas unicamente e sempre procurava novos talentos. Mas a grande variedade de artistas contratados sob a sua égide foi única. E o sucesso comercial que pessoas como Mary Hopkin e Badfinger alcançaram tornou o projeto ainda mais útil.

Um novo documentário, "Strange Fruit - The Beatles Apple Records", olha para a história por trás dos bastidores, do selo dos  Beatles,  será lançado em 24 de abril em DVD. O filme olhará para sua história e como o selo foi fundado, como funcionava e a música que foi lançada.

The Beatles' Apple Records label wasn't the only artist-backed label to ever seek out new talent. But the wide range of artists signed under its umbrella was unique. And the commercial success that people like Mary Hopkin and Badfinger achieved made the project even more so. 

A new documentary, "Strange Fruit -- The Beatles Apple Records," that will look at the behind-the-scenes story of the Beatles' label is to be released April 24 on DVD. The film will look at its history and how the label was founded, how it operated and the music it released.
