Fotos coloridas inéditas dos Beatles da primeira turnê de os EUA serão leiloados./Unpublished colour photographs of The Beatles during their first tour of the US are to be auctioned.

Os 65 slides incluem muitas fotos do palco, incluindo George Harrison com sua guitarra Rickenbacker vermelha, que apareceu no filme A Hard Days Night.

Elas foram tiradas pelo premiado físico Dr. Robert "Bob" Beck.

A banda tocou uma seqüência de concertos lotados nos EUA, em agosto de 1964, após uma aparição no  Ed Sullivan Show, em fevereiro daquele ano.

Dr. Beck era um pesquisador e inventor que morreu em 2002, deixando um enorme arquivo de fotografias e slides em sua casa em Hollywood.

'Tour Histórico'

Depois do enorme sucesso da banda nos EUA, fotografias a cores e filmes foram mais amplamente utilizadas para suas aparições 1965 e 1966.

O famoso show de 1965 no Shea Stadium foi filmado em cores pela BBC.

Ernie Sutton dos Beatles Fan Clube Britânico, disse: "Estas fotografias mostram os Beatles durante sua turnê nos EUA em 1964, dentro e fora do palco.

"Novas fotografias que emergem dos Beatles são sempre de interesse para os fãs, mas como a maioria das fotografias desta turnê é em preto e branco, é uma delícia de ver fotografias a cores da turnê histórica".

Eles irão a leilão em 22 de março, quando farão 50 anos  que a banda lançou seu primeiro álbum, Please Please Me.

Leiloeiro Paulo Fairweather, da Omega Auctions em Stockport, Cheshire, disse: "Esta é uma coleção fabulosa, sobretudo tendo em conta que todos os slides são coloridos."

As transparências devem ser vendido junto e ele estima que eles irão custar entre £ 10.000 e £ 15.000

The 65 slides include many stage shots, including George Harrison with his red Rickenbacker guitar, which appeared in the film A Hard Day's Night.

They were taken by award-winning physicist Dr Robert "Bob" Beck.

The band played a string of sell-out concerts in the US in August 1964 following an appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in February that year.

Dr Beck was a researcher and inventor who died in 2002, leaving a huge archive of photographs and slides in his Hollywood home.

'Historic tour'

After the huge success of the band in the US, colour photography and film of them was more widely used for their 1965 and 1966 appearances there.

The famous 1965 Shea Stadium show was filmed in colour by the BBC.

Ernie Sutton from the British Beatles Fan Club said: "These photographs show The Beatles during their 1964 US tour, both on and off-stage.

"New photographs that emerge of The Beatles are always of interest to the fans, but with the majority of photographs from this tour in black and white, it is a delight to see colour photographs from that historic tour."

They will go under the hammer on 22 March, 50 years to the day in 1963 when the band released their first album, Please Please Me.

Auctioneer Paul Fairweather, of Omega Auctions in Stockport, Cheshire, said: "This is a fabulous collection, particularly given that all the slides are in colour."

The transparencies are to be sold along with the copyright and he estimated that they would fetch between £10,000 and £15,000.
