Fotos perdidas ressurgem/Long-lost Beatles photos resurface

Um conjunto fotos perdidas dos Beatles foram encontradas, quase 50 anos depois de terem sido tiradas.

 As imagens foram tiradas em um dos primeiros shows da banda em Croydon em 25 de Abril de 1963 - apenas um mês antes do lançamento de seu LP de estréia "Please Please Me" - e são parte de uma coleção inédita de fotos da banda antes de eles atingirem os grandes momentos.

 Mostrando os Fab Four durante e após o show, eles foram tiradas por Andy Wright, então estudante de 15 anos de idade, que queria ser fotógrafo. Ele só recentemente lembrou que tinha tirado as fotos, depois de encontrá-las em seu sótão.

 "Eu tinha apenas 12 fotos no meu filme," Wright disse ao The Croydon Guardian. "A imagem dos quatro nos bastidores, potencialmente a mais lucrativa financeiramente, foi tirada com a última foto que eu tinha." Ele acrescentou:

 Eu fui para casa no ônibus, revelei as imagens e orgulhosamente levei para a escola no dia seguinte. Eu ainda tenho a câmera Rollei com a qual tirei as fotos. 

A banda fez dois shows naquela noite - um em 17:30 e outra às 20:00 da noite, como parte da Mostra Mersey Beat mini-turnê, que contou com a atuação de seu empresário Brian Epstein.

A set of long lost photos of The Beatles have resurfaced, almost 50 years after they were originally taken. 

The images were shot at one of the band's early gigs in Croydon on 25 April 1963 – barely a month before the release of their debut LP 'Please Please Me' – and are part of a previously unpublished collection of pictures of the band before they hit the big time.

Showing the fab four during and after the gig, they were shot by Andy Wright, then a 15-year-old schoolboy who wanted to be a photographer. He only recently remembered he had taken the shots after finding them in his attic.

"I only had 12 pictures on my roll of film," Wright told The Croydon Guardian. "The picture of all four of them backstage, potentially the most financially lucrative, was taken with the last shot I had." He added:

I went home on the bus, developed the pictures and proudly took them into the school the next day. I still have the Rollei camera I took those pictures with.

The band played two gigs that night – one at 5.30pm and another at 8pm as part of the Mersey Beat Showcase mini-tour, which featured acts from their manager Brian Epstein's camp.
