Monumento aos Beatles é planejado na Rússia/ Beatles Monument Planned In Russia

Uma estátua dos Beatles está em obras para a cidade de Tomsk, na Sibéria, Rússia. O monumento contará com estátuas em tamanho natural de John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison e Ringo Starr em suas poses icônicas da capa do álbum Abbey Road.

Escultores locais Nikolai e Anton Gnedyh estão criando a estátua, que terá um custo estimado em 6 milhões de rublos. A dupla é conhecida por seu monumento "Uma mulher grávida" e espera terminar a obra em setembro.

 Nikolai Nikolaychuk, o prefeito da cidade, disse: "Nós temos um monte de fãs de música e aqueles que cresceram ouvindo a música dos Beatles. Muitos deles são pessoas ricas. E eu tenho certeza que eles poderiam investir nessa idéia". 

A statue of the Beatles is in the works for the city of Tomsk in Siberia, Russia. The monument will feature life-sized statues of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr in their iconic poses from the cover of the Abbey Road album.

Local sculptors Nikolai and Anton Gnedyh will be creating the statue, which will cost an estimated 6 million rubles. The pair are best known for their monument "A Pregnant Woman" and expect to finish the piece in September.

Said Nikolai Nikolaychuk, the city's mayor, "We've got a lot of music fans and those brought up on Beatles music. Many of them are wealthy people. And I'm sure they could invest in this idea."

Segundo o site do Globo, o Bloco do Sgt Pimenta vestia uma camiseta amarela, inspirada na capa do disco, levou 4 mil foliões a loucura.Tocou a sua música tema e depois  afirma o Terra, A Hard days night emendando com Ticket to Ride.

According to the website Globo, the Block Sgt Pepper, is wearing a yellow shirt, inspired by the album cover, led to 4,000 people to madness. They played its song theme and then says website Terra, A Hard Days Night splicing with Ticket to Ride.

Multidão espera apresentação do Sargento Pimenta em Botafogo/ A crowd awaits the presentation of Sgt. Pepper's in Botafogo

Uma multidão aguarda o início do desfile do bloco estreante Sargento Pimenta e Corações Solitários, em Botafogo. O bloco vai se apresentar parado na esquina das ruas Visconde de Caravelas com Capitão Salomão. Os organizadores estimam em três mil o número de foliões que participam da festa. Mas o número pode ser ainda maior, pois não para de chegar gente no local. A bateria formada por 70 músicos conta com uma banda de rock com guitarra, baixo e instrumentos de sopro, que ficarão em cima do carro de som. Conforme o nome já indica, o bloco vai tocar músicas dos Beatles em ritmo de samba.

A crowd awaits the start of the block parade Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts, in Botafogo (RIO DE JANEIRO). The block will perform standing on the corner of Viscount Caravelas with Captain Solomon. Organizers estimate that three thousand revelers will join the party. But the number may be even greater as not stop to reach people in place. Ringo causa polêmica em Liverpool/ Ringo cause controversy in Liverpool

Ringo Starr, aquela figura sempre bem humorada e provocadora de risadas, pelo menos ao que parece é alvo de grande polêmica em sua cidade natal, Liverpool. Ringo foi entrevistado em um programa da BBC1 e quando Jonathan Ross o questionou sobre ele ter perdido detalhes da vida em  Liverpool , a   ele riu debochado, então o apresentador afirmou não achar que a pergunta fosse digna de provocar risos. Ao formular novamente a pergunta a resposta foi um sonoro: "NÃO". Ringo disse que viveu a infância dele em Liverpool, porque os pais moravam lá.

Para alguns, a irreverência  de Ringo o fez passar de herói a vilão em questão de segundos.

Polêmicas a parte, Ringo afirmou durante a estréia da Semana da Cultura: "Liverpool eu te deixei, mas nunca te abandonei."
Existe um movimento pra que ele peça desculpas a cidade em seu show de verão, dia 18 de Junho, aniversário de Paul McCartney, você acha que ele deve?

Em 1964, ano em que nasci, Paul McCartney sonhou com a música Yesterday e quando acordou teve a  nítida impressão  que ela era plágio de alguma outra música que conhecia. Dirigiu-se então, a casa da cantora Alma Cogan pra saber se ela reconhecia a tal música com letra estranha: "Scrambled eggs, oh, my baby how I love your legs." Alma reconheceu a originalidade da música tocada no piano acima, o qual agora vai a leilão, segundo o jornal The Sun, pela bagatela de £125,000 no  Drury Lane Theatre de Londres.



In 1964, the year I was born, Paul McCartney dreamed the song Yesterday and when he woke up had the clear impression that it was stolen for some other song. Then, he went to a singer Alma Cogan's home,  to know if she recognized the song with lyrics such strange: "Scrambled eggs, oh my baby how I love your legs." Alma recognized the originality of the music played on the piano above, which now goes under the hammer, according to The Sun,  £ 125,000 at the Drury Lane Theatre in London.

Zak, Jason e Lee são filhos de Richard Starkey, Rings Ringo, todos filhos da Maureen sua primeira esposa. Hoje é casado com Barbara Bach. John Lennon deixou dois filhos, Julian do primeiro casamento com Cythia e Sean filho de Yoko Ono. Já George deixa apenas um rebento, muito parecido com ele por sinal, Dhani Harrison, filho de sua segunda esposa Olivia. A primeira foi Pattie Boyd.

Nem a chuva impediu que algumas dúzias de pessoas mostrassem o seu apreço e respeito pelo Beatle. A festa foi rechada a bolo, música, poesia e um círculo fechado pela paz, segundo Jerry Rubin.

U.S. fans celebrated the anniversary of 68 years George Harrison's Walk of Fame, in dampness, on February, 25. Neither rain prevented a few dozen people showed their appreciation and respect for the Beatle. The party was filled with the cake, music, poetry and a closed circle for peace, according to Jerry Rubin.
